Spotlight: A1 Roofing Adelaide — the roofer who quotes your job is the roofer on your roof

Sam runs A1 Roofing & Property Maintenance from Redwood Park — roof repairs, restorations, re-roofs and gutter work across Adelaide, the north-east and the Hills. No call centre, no sales rep: the bloke who quotes your roof is the bloke who fixes it. We built his website the same way he works — straight-up, fast, and honest about when a repair will do instead of a replacement. If your roof needs looking at before the next storm front, he's a call away.

Can AI recommend your business?

A two-minute test worth doing with your coffee: open ChatGPT — or the AI answer now sitting above Google's results — and ask what your customers would ask. "Who's a good paver near Gawler?" Is your business in the reply? That's fast becoming how people search. Here's the quick test, what GEO and AEO actually mean in plain English, and the honest groundwork we build into every site — including how we now track where clients show up across ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Claude.

Asian Tucker is live — Tanunda street food, online at last

Shandy and Lisa's South East Asian street-food shop on Para Road, Tanunda is now online at asiantuckerbarossa.com.au. Bánh mì rolls, salad bowls, sticky rice, cold rolls and a build-it-your-way buffet — all made fresh to order, Monday to Friday 10 till 4. We built their site like their shop: warm paper, one chilli red, the full menu chalked up, and their cheeky monkey doing jobs all over the page. No template in sight.

What we've been working on — two redesigns live, and a new client portal

Two complete redesigns are live: May Paving's new site, built around their fireplace and pool-surround work, and Insect Invasion's full overhaul with fifteen new service and town pages. Six more client sites got a round of polish — Becks Bathrooms, ASP Build & Co, Team Teepee, Barossa 50's Diner, Barossa Wine Tours and Colleen Moyne — Auggie's Kitchen's online ordering got steadier, and every JB Digital Barossa client now has their own portal: documents, invoices and project info in one place.

Backing our own backyard — partnering with FoodWorks Nuriootpa

A new local partnership: JB Digital Barossa is now looking after the social media and marketing for FoodWorks Nuriootpa, the independently owned grocery store in the town we call home. We're building and running their Facebook presence, sorting their Google presence so locals can find them easily, and planning a website down the track. At its heart it's simple — a local business helping a local business, by locals, for locals.

A1 Roofing Adelaide is live

A1 Roofing & Property Maintenance is now online at a1roofingadelaide.com.au. It's a new site for an Adelaide roofing business — roof repairs, restorations and re-roofing — with the services and the suburbs they cover laid out clearly, real job photos, and a fast free-quote request. Another local South Australian trade online.

How Barossa businesses get recommended by ChatGPT and Gemini

More and more people skip the search results and just ask an AI assistant — "who's a good plumber near Tanunda?", "best web designer in the Barossa?" — and the assistant answers with a shortlist. Those answers aren't drawn from ads or the Google map pack: assistants read the open web. A fast, crawlable website, honest visible proof, structured data, consistent business details and real reviews are what get a local business into that shortlist — and it's now part of how we build every site.

What a website actually costs in the Barossa (2026)

Most Barossa web design studios hide behind a "contact us for a quote" button. We'd rather just tell you: our real packages run from $199 for a compact Starter build through to $1,499 for Signature, our flagship, with full e-commerce builds from $2,900 and custom projects quoted individually. We've laid out exactly what's included at every price — plus honest answers on ongoing fees and turnaround time — on our pricing page.

Barossa 50's Diner recommends JB Digital Barossa

Lynda and the team at Barossa 50's Diner have given us a lovely public shout-out — thanking us for their new website and recommending JB Digital Barossa to their followers. It means a lot coming from one of Tanunda's favourite spots, and we couldn't be happier with how their retro 1950s site turned out.

A busy week in the studio: new sites live and plenty on the go

It's been one of our busiest weeks yet. Barossa Valley Cleaning Services is now live — a clean, honest new site for Bec and her team, covering house, bond, commercial and NDIS cleaning across the Barossa, Gawler and down to Oakden. Insect Invasion's fresh redesign also went live this week: a bolder, easier-to-use site for the father-and-son pest-control team, with a request-a-quote form right up front. In between launches there's been plenty on the go — Auggie's Kitchen taking online orders and card payments through their own site, new business and referral cards sorted for SA Elite Handyman, and the ongoing local-SEO work that helps every client site get found on Google. We've also given our own recent-work showcase a proper refresh so it reflects everything that's gone live lately. More Barossa builds are on the way — it's a good kind of busy.

Auggie's Kitchen goes live with online ordering

Auggie's Kitchen can now take orders and card payments straight from their own website. Customers build their box, choose a delivery zone, add any notes and pay securely by card through Square — there's a promo-code system built in, and a branded confirmation email lands with the kitchen the moment an order comes through. It caps off a busy stretch for the studio: Samantha Foreman Stylist went live this week at samanthaforemanstylist.com.au, more five-star Google reviews have come in, and there are further Barossa builds on the way. If you'd like a website that takes bookings or orders for your own business, we'd love to help.

Barossa 50's Diner goes live

Barossa 50's Diner in Tanunda now has its own website at barossa50sdiner.com.au. Lynda and Nick have run the diner since 2018, and the new site is a full custom build made to suit the place — proper 1950s American diner styling, not a template. The full menu is online, so you can see what's on before you head in. Behind the scenes, Lynda and Nick can update the site themselves — menu items, prices and photos — through a self-service admin, without waiting on us for small changes. The site is live now, and you'll also find it on our homepage under recent work.

The Hustle Collective launches online

The Hustle Collective is now selling online at thehustlecollective.com.au. It's a custom Shopify store for the Barossa wine collective, bringing ten wineries and So Gin together in one storefront. You can browse by brand or by varietal, see what's on for tastings and events, and check out with live shipping rates — the shipping price comes back from the carrier for your actual order and address, rather than a flat guess. We built the storefront and set up the catalogue and the shipping integration. If you're after wine or gin from a group of small Barossa producers, it's all in one cart now.

The real Google numbers behind our client sites

We pulled the live Google Search Console figures from across our client websites. Spriggs & Co, a plumbing and renovation business, is running a 12.4% click-through rate — roughly four to six times the typical rate. Roam Offroad racked up 16,418 impressions in 28 days, Barossa Wine Tours reached 2,834, Iron Works 3,882, and a handful of sites are sitting on page one of Google. Real figures, straight from Search Console — here’s the full breakdown of how local Barossa, Adelaide and South Australian businesses get found on Google and turn searches into enquiries.

Partnership

A local partnership — JB Digital Barossa × Positive Perspectives

We’ve teamed up with Positive Perspectives — Cialee’s online store of mindfulness gift boxes and care packages, shipped Australia-wide. JB Digital Barossa now looks after her website day to day: the ongoing care and tidy-ups, keeping pages loading fast and reliable, and the local SEO and behind-the-scenes support that help a small online store stay visible and keep running smoothly. It’s a Wix store rather than one of our own builds — and that’s exactly the point. Local businesses deserve proper, hands-on support wherever their website happens to live, not just when it’s a site we built ourselves. Partnerships like this are how we’d like to work more often: backing other South Australian small businesses, sharing what we know, and pointing customers toward each other so more good local work stays local. If you know a business that could use a hand online, send a mate our way and you both get 20% off your website builds. Refer two, and everyone saves 30% — plus free business email, a domain and up to 6 months free hosting on your own business site.
