Pats, chats and far too many treats.
Manda runs For Pets Sake on Murray Street, Angaston: Australian-made food, natural treats and gear for dogs and cats. Here is the shop, and the new website that went live this week.
For Pets Sake first opened its doors on Murray Street in Angaston in 2013. Manda worked in the shop for a few years, fell for the regulars and their pets, and in 2025 she took it over as owner. You will find it at For Pets Sake SA, the pet shop in Angaston, open Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5:30pm and Saturday 9am to 3pm.

Australian-made, and plenty from South Australia
Manda’s focus is Australian-made brands, local makers and small businesses. At a rough count, around 95% of the brands on her shelves are Australian, and about a third of those come from South Australia. Almost every one supports a cause, from animal rescues and shelters to rural working dog communities and K9 search and rescue, so a bag of food from the shop backs good work too. She leans towards sustainable choices where she can, like cat litter made from wood fibre, bamboo or tofu, and beds that all go in the washing machine.
Natural treats, special orders and rewards
The natural treats are single protein and preservative free: chicken, beef, turkey and duck jerky, kangaroo tails and tendons, pig and cow ears and more, in 500g and 1kg bulk bags, with grain free options. If something isn’t on the shelf, Manda is happy to order it in, and phone orders are welcome. Regulars earn loyalty rewards on Lifewise and Cherish food and Wildkind treats, plus free months on participating flea and worming brands. Every category is on her Our Range page.

A new website in the look Manda chose
The shop’s old website dated back to the previous owner, around 15 years ago. Manda wanted something warmer and more upmarket, and she had already put together the layout, fonts and photos she liked. We built the new site from that: butter and olive colours, an elegant serif for the headings, her own photos of the shop and her own words throughout. It lays out all 13 categories and the brands in each, the treats and special orders, the loyalty rewards and a simple order enquiry form, and it reads just as well on a phone.
We also moved her domain away from the old host, so forpetssakesa.com.au now sits with us and points at the new site, with her shop email carrying on as normal. We set up the local search groundwork too, so pet owners in Angaston, Nuriootpa and Tanunda can find her. The site went live on 5 October 2026.

For Pets Sake is a 2026 Quality Business Awards winner and is rated 4.9 on Google. If you have a dog or cat to look after in the Barossa, drop in and say hello.
