Privacy Policy

How JB Digital Barossa collects, uses and protects your personal information.

Last updated: 13 September 2026

1. About this policy

JB Digital Barossa (ABN 26 344 199 586) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. Information we collect

We only collect information we need to respond to you and provide our services. This may include:

  • Contact details you submit through our enquiry form — your name, business name, phone number, email address and any message you send us.
  • Your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter — stored with our email provider (Resend) after you confirm your subscription, and kept until you unsubscribe.
  • The name, comment and optional email address you leave on a news post, plus your IP address for spam protection — comments are held for moderation, and your email address is never published.
  • If you use our refer-a-mate offer, the name and email address of the person you refer — used only to arrange that offer; we never automatically email them.
  • Basic technical and usage data — such as pages visited, browser and device type, and approximate location (derived from your IP address) collected through website analytics.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and provide a quote or preview;
  • Deliver, manage and support the services you engage us for;
  • Improve our website and understand how visitors use it;
  • Comply with our legal obligations.

4. Third parties and disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. When you submit our enquiry form, it is sent to a serverless function running on our own domain, which emails the details straight to us — in normal operation no third-party form-processing service receives or stores your submission (if our email service is ever unavailable, a backup delivery service may relay — but not store — your message so it still reaches us). We only share your information with the trusted service providers who help us run our business, including:

  • Netlify — hosts our website and runs the same-origin serverless function that processes our enquiry form;
  • Resend — delivers our enquiry notifications and newsletter emails, and stores our newsletter subscriber list;
  • Google Analytics (Google) — provides aggregated website usage information;
  • Google Ads (Google) — conversion measurement that tells us when our ads lead to an enquiry (only if you accept cookies);

5. Overseas storage

Some of the service providers above may store or process data on servers located outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled securely and consistently with this policy.

6. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies through Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking to understand how the site is used and which of our ads lead to enquiries. Cookies are small files stored on your device. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Disabling cookies will not stop the website from working.

7. Data security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure.

We keep enquiry and client information only for as long as necessary to provide our services and meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted or de-identified. Newsletter subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is inaccurate, or delete it. To do so, contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the "last updated" date shown above.
