Piper Plumbing & Gas is a family business based in Williamstown. Craig MacDonald is a master-qualified plumber and gas fitter with more than 10 years on the tools, and Hayley runs the office. The name is inspired by Scottish roots and a tradition of pride and trust. You will find them at Piper Plumbing & Gas, plumber and gas fitter for the Barossa Valley, and their customers rate them 5.0 on Google, from 141 reviews (checked 23 October 2026).

The new Piper Plumbing & Gas homepage on a desktop screen and a phone, with Craig beside the Piper van and the line “Barossa Valley plumber & gas fitter”.

What Craig does

Blocked drains, hot water, gas fitting, bathroom renovations, kitchen and laundry plumbing, septic and wastewater, rainwater tanks and pumps, and everyday plumbing and maintenance. He is on call 24/7 for emergencies, and pensioners, veterans and current Defence members can ask about a discount when they book.

Craig works right across the Barossa, from Williamstown and Lyndoch up through Tanunda, Nuriootpa and Angaston, and out to Gawler, Kapunda and Mount Pleasant.

The new website

Craig and Hayley wanted a site that was quick to use and easy to get in touch from, without the clutter. The homepage leads with Craig and the Piper van, with a call button and a quote button right there. Each of the nine services has its own short page, and there are pages for the Barossa Valley, Williamstown, Lyndoch, Tanunda, Nuriootpa, Angaston, Gawler and Mount Pleasant, so locals searching in their own town find them.

The quote form takes photos or PDF plans, so Craig can see the job before he rings back, and the customer gets a confirmation copy if they leave an email address. There is a gallery of recent jobs, answers to common questions and a blog of practical guides, from tree roots in drains to choosing a hot water system.

A new address, with nothing lost

The site also moved to a new address, piperplumbingandgas.com.au. Every page on the old piperplumbing.au address now points to its matching page on the new site, and we told Google about the move in Search Console, so the links and listings that already pointed at the old address still bring people to the right place. We also tidied their Google Business Profile, adding the gas installation, solar hot water and rainwater tank categories and the services that go with them.

It is already showing up. Within a week of launch, Piper was averaging 3rd to 4th in Google’s normal search results (not the map) for “plumber barossa” and “plumber barossa valley” (Search Console, 19–20 Oct 2026).

If you need a plumber or gas fitter in the southern Barossa, Piper is a good call. If you run a trade business and want a site like this, see our websites for tradies page and our web design in Williamstown page. There is more on this build in our portfolio.

More from the valley: our Barossa web design page has the other Barossa businesses we look after.
