From no website to 19 enquiries in under two months: A1 Roofing.
In August 2026 Sam Arace’s roofing business had no website of its own, no domain name and no Facebook or Instagram. His new site went live on 2 September 2026. By 26 October, under two months later, it had brought in 19 enquiries: 10 quote requests through the website form, plus 8 calls and 1 email tapped straight from the site. Here is how we did it.

On this page
A1 Roofing & Property Maintenance is Sam Arace’s business, owner-operated from Redwood Park in Adelaide’s north-east. Sam quotes every job himself and is up on the roof doing the work: roof repairs and leaks, roof restorations, re-roofing, gutters, fascia and downpipes, storm make-safes and roof inspections. You can find him at A1 Roofing & Property Maintenance.

Where we started
When Sam came to us there was nothing online to build on. No website of his own and no domain name. No Facebook page and no Instagram. Enquiries went to a Gmail address, and his Google Business Profile wasn’t set up properly.
Roofing is one of the most crowded trades on Google in Adelaide, and A1 had no search history at all. Sam is on roofs all day, so whatever we built had to bring in work without him sitting at a computer.
How we did it
A website built to win roofing work. We registered a1roofingadelaide.com.au and built a fast, photo-led site with a page for every service Sam offers, a call button on every page, and a free-quote form that takes photos, so Sam can see the roof before he rings back.
A business email on his own domain. Customers now write to an address at a1roofingadelaide.com.au, set up so it still lands in the inbox Sam already checks.
His Google Business Profile, sorted. The roofing category, his services, his real opening hours, his logo and job photos, the right service area around Redwood Park, and regular Google posts.
Pages for the suburbs he works in. People search for a roofer by suburb, so the site has pages for Tea Tree Gully, Modbury, Golden Grove and Salisbury, each answering the questions locals ask.
Guides for the searches people make when a roof starts leaking. Nine plain-English roofing guides so far, from why a roof leaks and what to do after a storm, to rebedding and repointing, gutter cleaning and roof flashing.
Google told about every page. Search Console and Google Analytics are set up, the sitemap is submitted, and each new page is sent to Google for indexing as it goes live.
Every enquiry counted, and none missed. Quote requests arrive as branded emails with the customer’s photos attached and spam filtered out first, the customer gets a confirmation straight away, and every call and email tapped from the site is counted in Sam’s client portal, next to his monthly report.
Getting the word out. We wrote A1 up on our news page with Sam’s own drone shot, and shared the new site into local community Facebook groups.
The results
19 enquiries in under two months. From 2 September to 26 October 2026, A1’s website brought in 19 enquiries: 10 quote requests through the form, plus 8 calls and 1 email tapped straight from the site, all counted in our client portal. Spam, sales pitches and our own tests are not in that number.
Picking up speed. 4 of the 19 came in September, the site’s first month. October has brought 15 so far.
Real jobs. The quote requests came from Redwood Park, Greenwith, Highbury, Clearview, Parkside, Woodcroft, Seaford Rise and more: leaking roofs, a roof restoration, a full roof and gutter replacement, hail holes in a pergola roof, rotten fascia and broken tiles, and a downpipe replacement.
Google is showing the site more. Google impressions rose 2.3 times, from 340 to 779, and clicks from Google search went from 23 to 30 (2 to 23 September vs 25 September to 16 October 2026, Search Console).
What Sam says
Sam left us a five-star Google review on 26 October 2026: “Since day 1 Josh has been professional, punctual , polite , he takes in what I want out of this experience and puts it work. His website designs are nothing short of flawless, his attention to detail and just his general knowledge within his field is outstanding. Couldn't suggest a better website designer / creator.”
What’s next
More of Sam’s real job photos on the site and his Google profile, Google reviews from happy customers, and more ground on the bigger roofing searches across Adelaide. The full numbers, with the window on every one, are in the A1 Roofing case study. For the search side in more detail, our Adelaide SEO team has written up how A1 got from no website to 19 enquiries. And A1 isn’t the only one: May Paving in Gawler has had 33 website enquiries since late August.
