Breakdowns don’t wait, and nobody wants to cart broken machinery off to a workshop. That is the whole idea behind Iron Works Mobile Welding & Fabrication, mobile welders based in Mount Pleasant. Sean loads up the rig and comes straight to the farm, worksite or property, anywhere across Adelaide, the Barossa Valley, the Adelaide Hills, the Murraylands and greater South Australia.

Welding since 2014, his own business since February 2026

Sean has been welding since 2014, building his skills on agricultural, industrial and structural steel jobs around South Australia, and completed his formal welding certification in 2019. In February 2026 he started Iron Works as a fully mobile service. Alongside the mobile rig there is a working fabrication shop in Mount Pleasant, which means he can take on anything from a quick on-site repair to custom gates, cattle yards, stock crates and structural steel.

The work is broad. He handles MIG, TIG and arc welding, including aluminium and stainless steel, plus air arc gouging and oxy cutting. Farm welding is core work, and so are emergency breakdowns: the site is upfront that he gets a lot of call-outs and fits them in as fast as he can. You can see the range on his welding repairs page.

Design your own shed, then send it to Sean

Iron Works also designs, fabricates and builds steel sheds, carports, lean-tos, pergolas and verandahs, and the website had to make those jobs easier to quote. So we built the 3D shed and carport designer. Customers set the size, roof, doors and Colorbond colours, turn the building around to see it from every side, check whether their ute, boat or caravan will fit, and get a plain-English hint about council approval. Then the design, with its plans and measurements, goes straight to Sean for a quote. It works on a phone too, and it replaces a lot of back-and-forth emails with a clear plan. For customers further away, a kit quote configurator lets people choose a product, size, Colorbond colour and paint finish, and Iron Works quotes the freight on kits that ship anywhere in Australia. The gallery shows real recent jobs, including that Tanunda pergola, a rebuilt ride-on mower deck and a custom security cage for an air-conditioner.

Found statewide, and busy enough to hire

In a live Google check from Adelaide on 5 Oct 2026, the site was the third organic result for “mobile welding adelaide”, and it is in Google’s map box for “mobile welding mount barker” with no reviews yet. Google clicks rose 63% to 80 in the 28 days to 3 Oct 2026 (Search Console), and the site brought in six genuine enquiries in September 2026. The work has kept coming, and Iron Works has taken on extra staff to keep up, which we shared in Ironworks is hiring.
