Craig and Hayley run Piper Plumbing & Gas from Williamstown, at the southern end of the Barossa Valley. We rebuilt their website and moved it to its new address, piperplumbingandgas.com.au.

The people behind it
Meet Craig and Hayley
Craig MacDonald is a master-qualified plumber and gas fitter with more than 10 years on the tools, and Hayley runs the office. The name is inspired by Scottish roots and a tradition of pride and trust.
Blocked drains, hot water, gas fitting, bathroom, kitchen and laundry plumbing, septic and wastewater, and rainwater tanks and pumps, right across the Barossa and out to Gawler, Kapunda and Mount Pleasant.
The problem
A site that wasn’t quick to use, at an address they were leaving.
Piper Plumbing & Gas is a family business based in Williamstown. Craig MacDonald is a master-qualified plumber and gas fitter with more than 10 years on the tools, and Hayley runs the office.
Craig and Hayley wanted a site that was quick to use and easy to get in touch from, without the clutter, and the business was moving from piperplumbing.au to a new address without losing what it had already built up on Google.
The solution
Craig front and centre, and a call or a quote one tap away.
The homepage leads with Craig and the Piper van, with a call button and a quote button right there. Each of the nine services has its own short page, and there are pages for the Barossa Valley, Williamstown, Lyndoch, Tanunda, Nuriootpa, Angaston, Gawler and Mount Pleasant.
The quote form takes photos or PDF plans, so Craig can see the job before he rings back, and the customer gets a confirmation copy if they leave an email address.
Getting found
Every page on the old piperplumbing.au address now points to its matching page on the new site, and we told Google about the move in Search Console, so the links and listings that already pointed at the old address still bring people to the right place.
We also tidied their Google Business Profile, adding the gas installation, solar hot water and rainwater tank categories and the services that go with them.
