The people behind it

Meet Garry and Josh

Garry Pape has been serving the Barossa Valley and Gawler since 2009, growing weekend work into a trusted local business on word of mouth and repeat customers. His son Josh has joined him, and the two do every job themselves.

They give straight advice about what a place really needs, from an annual home spray to rodent programs for businesses.

The problem

Fifteen years of word of mouth, and a website that wasn’t pulling its weight.

Insect Invasion has been protecting homes and businesses across the Barossa since 2009, growing on word of mouth and repeat customers. Garry and his son Josh do every job themselves.

The business was well known locally, but the website wasn’t winning the searches new customers make. Before the rebuild, “pest control norton summit” averaged 60.1 on Google (Search Console, 11 Jul – 7 Aug 2026).

The solution

Bold and plain-spoken: pick what’s bugging you and see how it’s treated.

A bold, plain-spoken rebuild that puts the pests front and centre: pick what’s bugging you and see exactly how it’s treated. Each pest has its own page: spiders, ants, cockroaches, rodents, flies and mosquitoes, earwigs and millipedes.

Clear service-area pages for the Barossa towns and Gawler, each answering the local questions people ask, with real Google reviews on the site and quote routing hardened so no enquiry goes missing.

Getting found

LocalBusiness structured data, town pages written for each area rather than copied, and Search Console tracking from the relaunch, so every change is measured.

Search Console positions are Google’s average across everyone who searched; lower is better. Impressions count every search, including the business name; no searches for the business’s own name are used as a ranking win. Most Adelaide suburb searches are still on page two or three, and we don’t claim “pest control barossa” yet.

Clicks and impressions: the client’s own Google Search Console. Non-branded leaves out searches for the business name. Enquiries: forms plus calls and emails tapped from the website, from our client portal; calls and emails are counts only until tracking covers two full periods. Form % only where the earlier period had 3 or more; rises and drops are both shown. CTR (click-through rate) is clicks ÷ impressions: how often people who see the listing on Google choose it. When impressions fall but clicks, forms or CTR rise, the impressions change is shown in grey, not red. Results vary by business and market.
