The problem

Where they started

Rian and Tanya sell and fit 4x4 accessories and off-grid electrical gear from their own workshop on Adelaide Road, working with more than 40 brands. They had been working on the website themselves on top of running a busy shop, and it was taking days of their time.

The old storefront also opened on camper trailers under a “new arrivals” banner, so the accessories and install work the business is actually built on sat further down the page.

What we did

The build

We rebuilt the existing Shopify store to carry a big catalogue: simpler navigation, clearer paths into each product family, and built-in search that suggests products as you type.

The homepage now leads with the Roam Offroad ute and gets straight to the services. Install jobs like dual battery systems, ute canopies and GVM upgrades each have their own page, and checkout uses live shipping rates.

The SEO

Getting found

Each install service got its own page, written around the searches people use for it, so a search like “bull bars adelaide” or “gvm upgrade adelaide” lands on the right page instead of the homepage.

We set up their Google Business Profile with the full service list, which is what Google Maps leans on for searches made in and around Gawler.

  • “All Google clicks”324 → 491

Positions are Google’s average across everyone who searched; lower is better. Non-branded searches only.

What’s slipped, and what we no longer claim: We used to quote Roam at #1–2 for searches like “4x4 stores gawler”. A live check showed those were Google’s business panel, not the website, and the Search Console average has slipped to 2.5, so we no longer use them. On 5 Oct the store was 2nd on Google for “bull bars adelaide” and 4th for “gvm upgrade adelaide” from Adelaide; re-checked on 7 Oct it was 8th and 5th in one check and outside the top 20 in another, so we now quote the Search Console averages for those and lead with the Google Maps results, which held.

The outcome

What it’s meant for the business.

  • All Google clicks to the store rose from 324 to 491 between the two most recent 28-day periods (Search Console, to 3 Oct 2026).
  • Just as important to Rian and Tanya: the website is off their plate, so they can get on with running the shop.

In their words

“Josh's service has been faultless from day one. Working on our own website ourselves was taking days, and causing more stress than it was worth! Josh's response time is excellent and he gets the work done quickly and efficiently and of very high standard. It's taken so much pressure off of us.”
