The people behind it
Meet Lynda and Nick
Lynda and Nick have run the diner since they took the keys in 2018, and have redesigned the place from top to bottom since, adding more every year.
It doubles as a retro gift shop too: Elvis, Betty Boop, Marilyn Monroe and Johnny Cash memorabilia, a fridge of imported American drinks, and an ice creamery counter.
No website at all.
Before August 2026 the diner had no website of its own.
The problem
A walk-in diner people need to find before they arrive.
Walk through the door at Shop 3, 119 Murray Street in Tanunda and you are back in the 1950s: chrome, neon, red vinyl booths, a checkerboard floor and rock ’n’ roll on the speakers. Lynda and Nick have run it since they took the keys in 2018.
The menu runs to more than 119 diner classics, and it is walk-in only, with no bookings, so people need the menu, the hours and the way in before they arrive.
The solution
A full custom build that feels like walking in.
The aim was simple: the website should feel like walking in. It is a full custom build rather than a template, with the diner’s colours and nostalgia carried through every page, and the full menu online so people can decide what they are having before they arrive, alongside opening hours and directions.
Lynda and Nick can update the site themselves: a self-serve admin lets them change menu items and photos without waiting on us. We also designed the diner’s logo, with its existing colours and type.
Getting found
We loaded the full 119-item menu into the diner’s Google Business Profile, so it shows up in Google Maps as well as on the site.

Clicks and impressions: the client’s own Google Search Console. Non-branded leaves out searches for the business name. Enquiries: forms plus calls and emails tapped from the website, from our client portal; calls and emails are counts only until tracking covers two full periods. Form % only where the earlier period had 3 or more; rises and drops are both shown. CTR (click-through rate) is clicks ÷ impressions: how often people who see the listing on Google choose it. When impressions fall but clicks, forms or CTR rise, the impressions change is shown in grey, not red. Results vary by business and market.
