Why it's been quiet: what we've been building.

No news posts for a few weeks, but plenty going on behind the scenes. Here's what's gone live for local businesses in September, and what's coming next.

If you follow along here, you might have noticed the news page went quiet for most of September. That wasn't because nothing was happening. It was the opposite. We've had our heads down building for the businesses we look after, and writing about it kept sliding to the bottom of the list. So here's the catch-up.

Four recent projects: the Iron Works 3D shed designer, the Insect Invasion homepage, the JB Digital Barossa client portal sign-in and the May Paving homepage.

A 3D shed and carport designer for Iron Works

The biggest build of the month. Iron Works customers can now design their own shed, carport or lean-to in 3D, right on the website. You set the size, roof style, wall height and doors, turn it around to see it from every side, check whether your vehicle fits, and send the finished design straight to Sean for a quote. It works on a phone too. Instead of a back-and-forth of emails to work out what someone actually wants, Sean gets a clear plan with the measurements already on it. Have a play with it at the Iron Works shed designer, or see the rest of the site in our portfolio.

Insect Invasion: a new logo and 15 years in business

Insect Invasion has a fresh, cleaner logo across the website, emails and app icons. The timing was good, because Garry and Josh Pape were in The Leader celebrating more than 15 years of pest control in the Barossa. We wrote about that milestone in its own post.

A rebuilt client portal

Every client already had a portal, but we've rebuilt it from the ground up. Signing in now takes one secure link sent to your email, so there's no password to remember. Once you're in, your website, hosting plan, renewal date, invoices and documents are all in one place, and you can ask for a change to your site without digging through old emails.

Enquiry emails that look like your business

When a customer fills in the contact form on a client's website, the email that lands in the owner's inbox now carries that business's own logo and colours, with the details laid out so they're easy to read and reply to. It's a small thing, but it's now live on more than fifteen client websites, and it makes new enquiries much harder to miss.

The unglamorous but important stuff

A lot of September went into work nobody sees until something goes wrong. We refreshed the privacy and legal pages on almost every client site, added helpful 404 pages and more reliable contact forms across the fleet, tightened up page titles and descriptions for Google, and made pages load faster. We're also rolling out call, email and form tracking across client sites, so owners can see which enquiries their website is actually bringing in.

A few other bits

May Paving now shows its newest Google reviews and updated hours on its website, and its Google Business Profile lists the 20 areas it services. Auggies Kitchen ran a buffalo wings pre-order night with delivery time slots booked through the website. And away from websites, we've been working on packaging design for a Barossa winery, which has been a fun change of pace.

Update, 8 October 2026: what has gone live since

The quiet didn't last long. In the two weeks after this post went up, For Pets Sake in Angaston launched its new website and logo (the For Pets Sake spotlight), and Aston Rural Enterprises got a full redesign built around Neil's timber gates and entrances (the Aston Rural spotlight). Our Adelaide SEO service now has its own home at adelaideseoservices.com.au. And the client portal picked up a website editor, so owners can change their own text and photos on a live preview of their site, with every save kept in a history. On the results side, May Paving had three quote requests come through its website in under 24 hours on 7 and 8 October.

What's next

There's more on the way. A handful of new websites and redesigns for local trades and a local shop are close to done, and we'll share each one here once it's live and the owner is happy with it. Until then, you can see what's already out there in our portfolio.

If your own website could use some attention, or you've got an idea like the shed designer that would save you time with customers, get in touch. We're a small Barossa studio, and we bring in local photographers and drone operators when a project needs them, so you'll deal with the same people from the first chat to the finished site.
