What we’ve been working on this week.

A redesigned store for Roam Offroad, delivery days and a waitlist for Auggies, new shop photos for For Pets Sake, and a handful of upgrades across the websites we look after. Here’s what went live between 5 and 11 October.

Studio News3 min read

It’s been a full week in the studio. Two client websites got big new features, a third got fresh photos from the shop floor, and a few upgrades went out across the websites we look after. Here’s the catch-up.

Four recent projects: the redesigned Roam Offroad store with a fitted-out ute under the words Go Anywhere, the For Pets Sake homepage with a cat and dog in the grass, the Adelaide SEO Services homepage with its new logo, and the Turkey Flat Sangria and Vermouth cans.

A new look for Roam Offroad

Roam Offroad’s redesigned Shopify store went live on 11 October. The Gawler South 4x4 shop now has a clearer menu (Shop, Fitting & services, Builds, About us, Finance and Contact), a “Get a quote” button in the header and a quote form at the bottom of the page. The homepage leads with what you’re fitting, from bull bars and canopies to suspension and 12-volt power, then shows the brands Roam stocks and fits, featured products, recent builds from Roam’s own job photos and reviews from their customers.

It’s the second redesign we’ve done for Roam. You can see how the store has changed over the years on our website redesign page, or read the Roam Offroad case study.

Delivery days and a waitlist for Auggies

Auggies’ meal bundles sell out, so ordering now works around the days they can actually deliver. Customers choose their delivery day when they order, and the team can mark any day as open, fully booked or closed from their own website editor. When a day is fully booked, customers can tap “Join waitlist” instead. Auggies gets an email with their details and, if they leave an email address, the customer gets a note to say they’re on the list. Have a look at the Auggies order page or the build in our portfolio.

New shop photos for For Pets Sake

We spent a morning in For Pets Sake on Murray Street, Angaston, photographing the shelves. Those photos are now on the site: an “On the shelf in Angaston” strip on Our Range and the treats page, and clean product cut-outs on white for the category photos across the site. Customers can see what’s actually in the shop before they visit. The build is in our portfolio.

Edit your own website

Most of our clients can now edit their own website themselves. From their client portal they open any page, click on the words they want to change and type, or click a photo to swap it, then publish when they’re happy. Every change is saved, so it can be undone. If you’d rather we made the changes, that still works too: just send us a message.

Smarter spam screening

We upgraded the spam screening on our clients’ enquiry forms again this week. It now catches the bots that send the same “I wanted to know your price” message in dozens of languages, along with gibberish and sales-pitch messages, so owners see real enquiries rather than junk. Genuine customers fill in the form exactly as before.

Guides linked from service pages

Earlier this month we wrote researched guides for the businesses we look after. This week we linked them from the pages customers actually visit: service, town and shop pages on 14 client websites now point to the guide that answers the next question, like how long a bathroom renovation takes or what to know before choosing a gate. It helps customers, and it helps Google see how each site fits together.

A new logo for Adelaide SEO Services

Adelaide SEO Services, our SEO team for Adelaide businesses, has a new logo. It’s on the website, the browser icon and the emails that go out from it. You can read more about the service on our Adelaide SEO page.

On the design side

We also finished label artwork for two new ready-to-drink cans for Turkey Flat Vineyards in Tanunda. They have their own post.

What’s next

More guides are going out each week, and the self-editing tools will keep getting simpler. If your own website could use some attention, get in touch. We’re a small team based in Nuriootpa, and you’ll deal with the same people from the first chat to the finished site.
