Things have not slowed down since our last update — if anything, we have found another gear. Here's a quick tour of what's been keeping the studio busy across the Barossa and Adelaide over the past week.

A local online store goes live — with live shipping at checkout

One of our Barossa retailers now has a fully working online store, and we're especially proud of what happens at the checkout. We built a custom integration that works out real, live shipping costs the moment an order is placed — including signature-required delivery for age-restricted goods. Every customer sees an accurate freight price up front, the right delivery requirements are handled automatically, and there are no nasty surprises after the sale. It's the kind of quiet, behind-the-scenes engineering that lets a small local business feel every bit as capable and trustworthy as the big national names.

A wave of free website previews for local businesses

This was also a big week for our see-it-before-you-pay promise. We designed and built a fresh batch of free website previews for local businesses right across the Barossa and Adelaide — tradies, cafés and independent makers among them. Each one can simply open a link and see a real, polished version of their own website, built specifically for their business, before spending a single cent. It's the fairest way we know to earn someone's trust: show them exactly what they'd be getting, first, with no obligation to go any further.

Our final free community website is taking shape

The last build in our free community website program is really coming together now. It's going to a local small business we're thrilled to be helping, and the design is looking lovely. We'll share more once it's live — but it's a nice reminder of why we started offering these builds in the first place: to give a hard-working local business a proper online home, on us.
